Ms. Nugent chose to work in the field of liability defense because she enjoys working with people and ensuring that they are protected during litigation. She cannot imagine the stress a person feels when they are faced with litigation, and she strives to be there every step of the way to eliminate any feelings of fear. She earned her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island. While in law school she served on the honor board, and she participated significantly in the international student community. She worked for several years at a Family Law firm in Rhode Island before moving to Arizona and has been exposed to client relations as well as the litigation system as a whole. She is constantly seeking new opportunities that will help her practice law.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Nugent grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and moved to the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic at the start of her second year of law school. When she is not working, she is with her family or her dog Bo, and usually has a book in her hands. Her favorite thing about practicing law is that there is something new to learn every single day.
