As the Managing Partner of the firm, Mr. Rubin has a wealth of litigation experience, trying numerous types of cases to verdict in diverse subject areas, ranging from auto accidents, premises liability, construction defect, liquor liability, insurance bad faith, and insurance agent malpractice.
His practice is concentrated in tort litigation with emphasis in general liability, automobile defense, transportation and trucking defense, liquor liability defense, construction defect defense, product liability, toxic tort, and premises liability defense. Over the years, he has also handled a wide array of issues dealing with SIU/Insurance Fraud matters.
Additionally, he has provided insurance coverage analysis and coverage litigation services to carriers for over fifteen years. This includes handling complex insurance coverage claims in both the first and third party contexts. His coverage litigation practice has included all types of insurance policies with a particular emphasis on homeowners, automobile, and commercial general liability policies. A portion of his insurance practice is also dedicated to the defense of insurance bad faith claims asserted against insurance companies.
Mr. Rubin derives great pleasure by keeping his clients informed of trends and developments in Arizona law. He lectures regularly to bar and client groups on various topics including bad faith, lien issues, Arizona law and procedure and insurance coverage matters. Over the course of his career, he has been active with a number of defense organizations. After a lengthy stint on the Board of Directors, he recently served as the President of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel. He also serves as the Western Regional Chair for Your House Counsel, as well as the chair for the Premises Liability and Dram Shop Practice Groups. In addition, he is an active member of the CLM Insurance Fraud Committee.
Outside the office, Mr. Rubin enjoys spending time with his wife Katie and two kids, Eric and Eliza. He is an avid reader who will read books of almost any genre. He also enjoys debating others as to what constitutes the best era of Grateful Dead music. He has also been a professional sports fan his entire life, often memorizing statistics as a youth. He can be found on Sundays rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles. He also wastes an inordinate amount of time watching the Philadelphia 76ers, who have broken his heart repeatedly over the past forty plus years. For some reason, he also spends a fair amount of time trying to drag his aging body up and down a basketball court during pickup games, and paying the price thereafter.
