Kristen A. Briney

As a partner, I am an experienced litigator and have first and second chair trial experience. In my most recent trial, Brian Rubin and I obtained a unanimous defense verdict in favor of our client. My practice is concentrated in tort litigation. In addition to automobile defense, I handle many other types of cases. This includes premises liability, construction defect, insurance bad faith, liquor liability, and dog bite cases. I also have appellate experience, do coverage analyses, and handle first-party insurance claims.

Defending injury claims requires an understanding of anatomy, attention to detail, and a desire to continue learning. In my years as a defense attorney, I have developed all three of these skills and enjoy continuing to build on that knowledge base with every file I handle. It is my belief that digging into files provides the best odds at obtaining a successful resolution through settlement or at trial. I enjoy the opportunity to meet new people while working different cases - clients, opposing counsel, opposing parties, adjusters, experts, and everyone in between.

As an Arizona native, I enjoy everything Arizona has to offer—especially summer. That said, I believe that the best season of the year is baseball season. My favorite team is the Kansas City Royals, and for love of the game, I enjoy supporting many other teams including the Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and of course the Arizona Diamondbacks. Every March, I try to attend as many Cactus League games as my schedule permits. I also enjoy collecting baseball cards and sports/pop culture memorabilia. When not watching baseball, I enjoy bowling, playing softball, going to movies, and spending time with loved ones; including my mini-dachshunds (I have two now). My big bucket list items include attending games at all 30 MLB stadiums and attending San Diego Comicon.
