Kristen A. Briney

Partner

As a partner, Ms. Briney is an experienced litigator and has first and second chair trial experience. In her most recent trial, Brian Rubin and she obtained a unanimous defense verdict in favor of their client. Her practice is concentrated in tort litigation. In addition to automobile defense, she handles many other types of cases. This includes premises liability, construction defect, insurance bad faith, liquor liability, and dog bite cases. She also has appellate experience, does coverage analyses, and handles first-party insurance claims.

Defending injury claims requires an understanding of anatomy, attention to detail, and a desire to continue learning. In her years as a defense attorney, she has developed all three of these skills and enjoys continuing to build on that knowledge base with every file she handles. It is her belief that digging into files provides the best odds at obtaining a successful resolution through settlement or at trial. She enjoys the opportunity to meet new people while working different cases - clients, opposing counsel, opposing parties, adjusters, experts, and everyone in between.

As an Arizona native, Ms. Briney enjoys everything Arizona has to offer—especially summer. That said, she believes that the best season of the year is baseball season. Her favorite team is the Kansas City Royals, and for love of the game, she enjoys supporting many other teams including the Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and of course the Arizona Diamondbacks. Every March, she tries to attend as many Cactus League games as her schedule permits. She also enjoys collecting baseball cards and sports/pop culture memorabilia. When not watching baseball, she enjoys bowling, playing softball, going to movies, and spending time with loved ones; including her mini-dachshunds (she has two now). Her big bucket list items include attending games at all 30 MLB stadiums and attending San Diego Comicon.
